The Inspiration Behind the Story
I created this story because I wanted children—especially Filipino children—to see what’s possible.
Growing up, we don’t always see ourselves in every role.
We don’t always see how far we can go.
But the truth is…
We are nurses.
We are teachers.
We are builders.
We are creators.
We are leaders.
We are everywhere.
“Kababayan” means more than just someone from the same place.
It means connection.
It means support.
It means lifting each other up.
And that’s what this is all about.
