Jennalyn’s Mabuhay Adventures is a heart-centered children’s book series that celebrates Filipino identity, cultural pride, and the joy of discovery through the eyes of a young Filipina traveler. Designed for children and families around the world, this twelve-book series follows Jennalyn as she journeys across the Philippines to connect with her heritage, explore the meaning of Mabuhay, and experience the beauty, diversity, and values that define Filipino culture.

Jennalyn is a Mestiza, representing her Filipino and American roots—reflecting the experience of many children growing up between cultures. As a U.S.-born Filipina, her journey mirrors the lives of diaspora families seeking belonging, understanding, and pride in their heritage. Through her adventures, Jennalyn discovers that identity is shaped not just by place, but by family, traditions, values, and shared stories.

Throughout the series, Jennalyn explores islands, cities, villages, oceans, and mountains, meeting elders, making friends, and discovering Filipino wildlife along the way. She is joined by her loyal sidekick, Shaka the Turtle, whose name reflects a spirit of connection and positivity while honoring Filipino pride. Each story weaves in meaningful values such as Mabuhay (joy of living), Bayanihan (community spirit), respect, gratitude, resilience, and cultural pride. Tagalog words and phrases are naturally introduced, encouraging children to learn through storytelling.

The series releases one book per month, creating excitement and continuity while allowing each story to stand on its own. Together, the books offer a cohesive exploration of Filipino culture, traditions, food, celebrations, and everyday life across the Philippines.

Beyond the books, Jennalyn’s Mabuhay Adventures extends into interactive experiences through Mabuhay Innovations, founded by author Janet Morante. Families can enjoy themed party favors, including lollipops, cupcake picks, buttons, banners, and stickers—making it easy to celebrate Filipino pride in a fun and meaningful way. Additional products such as plush toys, crafts, and activity kits are in development to further enrich the experience.

The series is also supported through community outreach and cultural events, where families can connect, celebrate, and take home meaningful keepsakes inspired by the stories. These experiences reinforce the spirit of generosity, connection, and joy at the heart of the series.
